BOTTLE DRIVE FUNDRAISER

The Downtown Business Association’s Core Crew is having their first ever bottle drive fundraiser benefiting the Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters* by collecting bottles from businesses in the Downtown community.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Collect and save as many bottles in your office and keep them set aside until Thursday, August 5th.
There are two options for making a contribution:
1. You can drop off your donation between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm at the Downtown Business Association office (10121 Jasper Ave – Street level)
OR
2. Have the Core Crew pick up your donation. Call 780-426-8576 or email corecrew@edmontondowntown.com by Wednesday, August 4, and the group will stop by your office to collect your donation.
*The Alberta Council of Women's Shelters is a province-wide, voluntary organization supporting women's shelters and their partners through education, research and services for the benefit of abused women and their children.

A Taste of Edmonton
An event that brings Edmontonians together in making the capital city a vibrant one!

Experience one of North America’s largest food festivals and indulge in a variety of mouth watering foods at this year’s A Taste of Edmonton Festival.
This year A Taste of Edmonton will feature 40 unique restaurants. The restaurants will offer two delicious dishes, varying from one to five Taste Tickets each. To save 10 per cent, guests can buy tickets in advance from TIX on the Square or online at www.tixonthesquare.com. This deal is effective until July 22, 2010.
To add to the unforgettable experience, the festival will bring back its infamous A Taste of Beer and A Taste of Wine. During the hot summer days, come try the various chilled beers and fine wines. While relaxing on the shaded patio, enjoy live entertainment performing on the Taste Stage.
The event will also include the Street Market and Night of Artists. The market offers a variety of merchandise from around the world. The Night of Artists exhibit will include visual artists, illustrators and writers from across Canada showcasing sculpture, acrylic painting, oil painting and photography.
Don’t forget the festival’s Safeway Family Pancake Breakfasts! For only $3, enjoy pancakes, sausages, bacon, coffee and juice. The breakfasts will take place at eight different Safeway locations across the city. Each breakfast will have a 50/50 raffle, with proceeds benefitting Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
